A Rewarding Experience for Mothers

Sweet kisses! Raising children is rewarding; you can learn so much from them. The love you share with them is priceless.

Being a Mother Means More Bedtime Kisses

More Bedtime Kisses

Being a mother means more bedtime kisses,

more warm laughs, tight hugs, wide smiles.

Realizing that they really do come true,

those hopes, dreams and wishes.

Being a mother means tickles and wiggles,

soapy bubble baths, quiet afternoon naps,

lounging in pajamas, more sticky sweets,

sky-gazing, sharing a silly joke and some giggles.

Being a mother means more boo-boos, aches and pain

to soothe and kiss away. More tears to wipe,

more tough stains to remove, dirty clothes to wash

more adventure to gain.

Being a mother means more games to play,

running, jumping and counting.

Playing hide and seek and tag;

finding energy to repeat again the next day.

Being a mother means more food, diapers, toys to buy,

more cooking, diaper-changing,

sweeping, mopping and dish-washing.

More clothes to grow out of and shoes to try.

Being a mother means more teaching and showing,

finger-painting, doodles and scribbles.

Colors on floors, tables and walls,

things to nurture us, to encourage our growing.

Being a mother means more wounds to heal,

broken hearts to mend, yelling to hear,

tantrums that overwhelm us both;

overcoming strong feelings we feel.

Being a mother means more soft whispers in the ear,

more hushed secrets and surprises.

Constant planning, some spontaneous,

days that end with tired eyes but spirits in good cheer.

Being a mother means more stories to tell,

books to read, shows to watch,

new movies to learn and old ones to remember

like fairy tales of Cinderella, Ariel and Belle.

Being a mother means more interests to share,

sports to engage in, activities to learn,

keeping up with the rules...or not

while the ball is soaring in the air.

Being a mother means more good-night's at night,

more good-mornings in the morning,

more happy hello's when I get home,

more sleepy-heads to tuck in tight.

Being a mother means more love to give,

extra love to get back, love to leave behind,

love to share, pass around.

Wonderful reasons to live and live.

Being a mother means more ways to be proud;

exciting events to foresee, milestones to reach,

sweet moments to cherish.

No matter what, near or far, count on me to be a fan in the crowd.

Being a mother means more possibilities

that you will one day hold your own baby,

grow older and wiser

while sharing with her your own fantasies.

Being a mother means more "I'll miss you's" when I leave,

more "have a good time" when I go away,

more tears telling me, "I want you to stay,"

more "welcome home" and "I love you's" to receive.

Being a mother means having more blessings to be grateful for,

being rich with love, owning a wealth of joy,

looking forward to the journey;

Ready to welcome positive opportunities behind each door.

Being a mother means embracing those bedtime kisses,

racing for more pictures to collect, creating more storage space.

Colorful memories to pass down,

vibrant stories to tell of our experiences.

Being a mother means more bedtime kisses,

more warm laughs, tight hugs, wide smiles,

proving together that they really do come true,

those hopes, dreams and special wishes.
